Employment

Under the direction of the Fire Chief or the direct supervision of an officer of the department.  Responds to emergencies of all types as part of the fire department unit.  Carries out a variety of tasks with relation to life safety, fire control, and property conservation, using defined practices, procedures, standards, and regulations.  In addition, performs routine inspections, cleaning of fire apparatus, equipment, and facilities of the fire station.  Must be physically fit to perform the duties of the job and mentally capable of performing in stressful situations.  Must reside within reasonable response time to a station.
